Hi i read the entire nor chip for back up , after that i programmed nor flash with uboot_128 , uboot did not load and now i cant program nor flash again i get this error : Can't download driver to specified address . i use mini 2440 with 2MB nor flash and 64MB nand flash can anyone help me plz ?
If you have removed Supervivi from NOR and unsuccessfully tried to place u-boot in there I believe all you can do now is use JTAG to get Supervivi back into NOR. See the downloads page for H-JTAG. Why did you want to put u-boot into NOR?
thanks for reply i tried to get Supervivi back to NOR , but i get that error , now i can't do anything with NOR flash , i'm using H-JTAG and i read all about H-JTAG software . i just want to be sure i can download supervivi into NOR flash , i create a back up from NOR , and I downloaded uboot to make sure that Supervivi is gone , now i can't even erase nor flash . i only get that error :( i read all topic about nor but i did not fount anything usefull . thanks for your help sorry for poor english

The first thing you have to do is get Supervivi back into NOR. I do not understand what you mean by "i create a back up from NOR". You don't need to backup NOR. I asked why you want to put u-boot into NOR, but you didn't answer. I have been playing with this board for over a year and I have never heard of anyone wanting to put u-boot into NOR. The normal process is Supervivi into NOR and then u-boot into NAND FLASH, then the kernel then the rootfs into NAND. Or kernel and roofs in a SD card or NFS. So, back to your main problem . . . you selected the correct Flash device as per the picture on the bottom of page 2, "probably the SST39VF1601"? elenor, I think I understand your situation and sorry but I never made this mistake so I have no experience trying to "reclaim" the NOR. http://www.friendlyarm.net/forum/topic/1667 I don't know what Spacewalker is talking about. Sure is helpful when people find a solution to a problem that they then post back with the solution! Does a search on Google with the exact error message not turn up anything useful? If not, I would suggest re-posting your problem here and on http://groups.google.com/group/mini2440 with a title like "Can't access NOR with H-JTAG" Good luck. Dave

my problem solved . my NOR flash device is S29AL016D-M02 , and i used the init script that i attach to this post and it works well , now i can program my NOR flash with supervivi . thanks a lot dave

I found it on the dvd in my mini 2440 pack and i change it a little bit to work with my flash device. its HFC file but i couldn't attach it so i made it as a archive file . i'm SO HAPPY :D
