I just wnat to tell everybody who helped me that finally I got running my first application! It's really exciting after all the startup difficulties! thanks to all! Now I'm looking for tutorials about graphics programming for WinCE, I made sample (and very basic) applications using VC and VB... which one do you think is better? For example, to make an application that has access to the serial ports and draws something (lets say draw the serial data sended like lines).. Thanks to all!!
My first application!
Congratulations! (o felicitaciones? :P) What kind of device are you developing? I my work, when NK.bin is ready, software engineers do all software in VC++ and VC#. Congratulations again! Leo
Hello (hola jaja soy de argentina) Leo! We are not yet developing anything in particular, but we are trying the different options of the board... is the first time we work with a windows embedded system, and everything is new to us... I develop software under visual studio but for desktop systems, and that is why I'm trying to make a "nice" graphical user interface, and looking for information for that. Where are you from? And where do you work/what are you using this module for? Saludos!! Fernando
Hi Fernando (al otro lado de la cordillera, desde Chile :P) you would try using QT to develop graphical interfaces. I'm testing this platform for user friendly terminals in market, shopping center, etc, but i'm having some troubles with video reproduction (for marketing). Saludos! Leo
Hi again Leo... my msn is ferblaha@hotmail.com, if you like to add me and we can talk a little more fluid. what do you referr with QT? what application is that? Now I'm testing my CE6 with Visual Studio 2005... Saludos! Fernando

Hi Fernando, Hi André! QT is "a cross-platform application and UI framework". A lot of Linux apps are based in QT (KDE, for example). But it's not only for Linux, some time ago i developed some interfaces very easily with QT Creator (QT libraries + GUI), but in Windows XP in a desktop machine. I'm not sure how much useful would be in a embedded system, but it exists :P I'll add you guys to my msn :P See you! Leo
