Ubuntu 9.10 - how to connect Mini2440

Hello,

In previous topic I asked about USB drivers for Windows 7 x64. I got
answer, that there are no any for 64bit systems. So I installed Ubuntu 9.10
x86. But I am new to Linux systems. Someone, please, give some links to
how-tos/other useful sources or write short tutorial here about Mini2440
connection to PC and writing there new OS. I don't even know where to
search this information. Everything is written only for Windows.

Thanks a lot! Problem was in my USB to SERIAL converter (Profilic chip was
damaging info on high speed). But I thought there is something wrong with
USB connection. HOW-TO in your answer is very useful for beginners like me.
I think some people will be glad to see it on FriendlyARM wiki page.
