has anyone install ubuntu on mini2440

hi i want to know if its possible to install ubuntu on mini2440, because I
want to use the tools that this SO has, anyone could helpme?

I think you must be crazy!

why if someone has install debian why dont install ubuntu

I think that it works great with the right configuration and the right
window manager :)

but it is verry difficult. I never got it working within the 5 days I have
experimented and reinstalled, recompiled etc.

but I made much progress because I got apt working on my mini2440-debian
and that is the greatest tool with what you can install everything you need
;)

Don't understand why people always like to make simple things complicated!
It's meaningless to install a full desktop linux on a resource limited
hardware system like mini2440.
Even if you really could do so doesn't mean the performance is acceptable.

Don't waste your valuable time on those meaningless matter!

Hmm? The mini2440 is like a normal computer and I don't know whats wrong if
one of our hobbies is to experiment with this DEVELOPMENT board to get
different things working. And it isn't a problem of the resources because
it depends on how you have configured it and which environment you use
(yes, KDE isn't the best for this ;) ).
