kernel panic while mounting rootfs

Hi,

I have a mini2440 dev board. Iam trying use rootfs in NFS. Actually I found
a config file named config_mini2440_* in the CD provided by friendly arm. 

    Iam able to successfully boot the linux using this config file and Iam
able to mount rootfs using NFS. 

    But the problem arises when Iam trying to customize the kernel.
