Cross Compiling on PPC

Hi everyone!
does anyone know if the arm-linux-gcc-4.3.2.tgz for the mini2440 is working
on a PPC running Ubuntu? Afer install (following this instructions: , when
I check the version, I get the following message:
$ arm-linux-gcc -v
/usr/local/arm/4.3.2/bin/arm-linux-gcc: line 3:
/usr/local/arm/4.3.2/bin/arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc: can not execute bin

hi im trying to install to the arm linux-gcc, but i dont not even how to
start, should i installit on a desktop pc or in my mini2440
