Have you also read the Download Manual?
http://www.friendlyarm.net/downloads#manuals

Is your serial cable okay and not a crossed one?

I´ve the same problem.

I tried to follow the CD User Manual steps sent with the plate, using the
hyperTerminal, and it doesn´t work. Using just DNW as showing in this
manual doesn´t work as well...

I´m waiting for solution.

Thank´s

Does DNW say you have established serial comms?

Edje11 2010-04-20 23:14:17 Link
You don't need Hyperterminal.
-Connect serial port with the cable that came with the mini
-Start up DNW
-Goto "configuration" and choose the comport you're using.Check baudrate,
it schould be 115K
-Then press "Serial port" -> "connect"
-Reset your mini and there should be something in the dnw screen.

Ps I'm using dnw for wince;

Thanks for the solution.

DNW show the menu when connect with serial cable but not with USB cable.
Anyone know why?

I believe we use the COM port to send the commend to the device in
Bootloader mode from NOR Flash. At the same time we use the USB transfer
data to and from the NAND Flash? Is this true?

My assumption at the beginning is we can do all these via USB alone.

That's right. USB is only for data transfer and the com port is for the
bios menu.

Hello, I have developed a similar board as mini2440 every component is
same, but as mini2440 comes with a pre-loaded BIOS, can anyone tell me how
do I load BIOS into the MCU ?
