Hi all, I'm in the process of putting together a new English BSP with all the updates and fixes from the forum: Auto launch of touch screen calibration after first boot. Network crash fix. Multi CPU compile issue with SD driver. English language. Suspend must turn off backlight. I also want to change the BSP install to be able to select the LCD during install to simplify things for new people. Any other patches? Thank you, Errol
Creating new BSP
Hi Errol, I had the same idea but didn't have time for the moment. If you want, you can see image modifications that I advise on my website (http://www.domodom.fr/spip/spip.php?article16&lang=en) : - Removal of Chinese fonts - addition of USB Remote NDIS Class driver (needed for Activesync) - Window Console And maybe remove SQL compact and wordpad ? domdom
Hi domdom, Will remove Chinese fonts. Will add NDIS if it isn't in there. What is Windows Console? Will remove SQL and wordpad. With your permission is would like to integrate your SPI driver into the BSP. Thakn you, Errol
Console Window is the dos-like console that is launched via cmd.exe command. In this console, you can execute console applications, like ipconfig for example. You can find it by searching "console window" in the catalog items view. By the way, you could also add the "Network utilities (ipconfig, ping, route)". Yes, you can add my SPI driver. And if you think it can be usefull, you can also add : - my control panel applet I wrote to manage users for ftp/telnet/webserver (http://www.domodom.fr/spip/spip.php?article19&lang=en) - the configuration of the clock synchronization (http://www.domodom.fr/spip/spip.php?article17&lang=en) domdom
domdom, I'll add those. Do you think i can change the network adaptor to default to dhcp? hex, u-boot isn't part of WinCE BSP, and as far as i know it can't be used to boot WinCE. Thank you, Errol
hex, been there, done that too... :) domdom, cool. Still getting the hang of NSIS install scripting. Will probably build BSP on saturday. Thanks, Errol
Here we go: Fixed: Network crash fix. Fixed: Multi CPU compile issue with SD driver. I hope. Couldn't test in Virtual Machine. Changed: Auto launch of touch screen calibration after first boot. Changed: English language. Changed: Network set to DHCP Removed: Chinese fonts Added: USB Remote NDIS Class driver (needed for Activesync) Added: Windows Console Added: SPI driver by domdom Added: Clock Synchronization registry entry, if SNTP client is included. Added: User Manager control panel applet by domdom if FTP server or Telnet server or Webserver is included in the image. WARNING: back up any old MINI2440 folders in PLATFORM or OSDesigns, as this will overwrite it.
Yeah, it's a great job that will be usefull for many of ours. If you and Andreas are agree, I think the best place for this file should be the wiki. domdom
Domdom, Did you try the VNT6656 driver for WinCE 6.0, I've seen you were interested in another post a few days ago. If it works, maybe it could be a good idea to add it to the BSP ?
Hi, is your new BSP have the GPIO driver in it? It will usefull as I am not good enough to generate the BSP myself.
I do not know if this can be useful, but take a look here http://www.thaieasyelec.com/Free-Service-from-ThaiEasyElec/ARM9-mini2440... Andrés
