NanoPC-T1 boot problem

davef
Following the tutorials here
http://nanopc.org/NanoPC-T1_Development.html#tag and here
http://nanopc.org/NanoPC-T1_Feature.html I can't tell if the unit is even
booting.

Unfortunately, I didn't buy the serial debug adapter :(

Fused Superboot and a Ubuntu image to the SD.

Is there someway to tell if SuperBoot is on the card and/or doing its job?

Saw some reference to LEDs during boot. I only get a RED LED and nothing
else happens. Is there some LED indication that it has booted?

Thanks,
davef

Some progress. Using the dd script on this page
http://nanopc.org/dev/468.html I now have an SD card with a boot directory
and a rootfs directory.

Holding the boot tact switch down, applying power and releasing the boot
tact switch doesn't seem to result in a boot-up.

Should I see LED activity in the two LEDS next to the coin battery or do I
have to wait for a long time before I see any signs of life?

Appreciate your assistance.

[SOLVED] Issue resolved by using a 5V supply that could maintain its
voltage under the required operating current.

BTW, the two green LEDs will both flash at a "heartbeat" rate during
booting and running.

Saw the Ubuntu desktop for about one minute and then it stopped running :(
I now know why people noted the high operating temperature of the 3312
chip. After 1 minute I could barely keep up finger on it.

... because it is a faulty board. Another one runs just fine.
