Static IP Ethernet Tiny210

Hello,

I'm desperate for some help to figure out how to make the Ethernet Static
IP settings  work.

We are using the default Android 4.0.3 installed on the Tiny210.

Setting up the Ethernet settings work fine, but it seems Android does not
want to commit the changes, even though it saves them.

Any help is appreciated!

Are you working off an SD card?

No.  Default Android on NAND.

I was able to get it working with ease with that latest DVD image (the one
where the Google Play Store works by default).

I had the wired ethernet working also on the original image (the one
without Google Play).
The trick is to don't use the default settings but a specific application
that set the ethernet interface.
With the latest image (the one with Google Play) the ethernet setting is in
the standard Android setting menu'
