Touch Panel not working

Hi 

I just received my Mini2440 with 3,5 LCD togheter with stylus pen.

Boots to Qtopia English. 

I cannot get any action when I touch the screen (with pen or finger)
I'm doing something wrong here?

Have you checked the connectors on the main and display pcb?

Yes. I was able to connect a mouse and run the calibration routine. System
reboots and calibration works just fine. So is not an hardware problem.
Qtopia reboots after calibration and stops working. 

The mouse cursor disappers when I tap the screen. This indicates that the
system as "sense" something, but no action after.

Sounds like a software problem, if the calibration works. Have you tried
the newest firmware?

Hi Andreas,

The problem is solved. After all there was an hardware problem. I run the
stand alone application "test2440" that haves a touch panel test module. In
this test I had noted that the "Y" coordinate was allways at full scale
(1023). That told me that something was wrong wtih the hardware. Then I
check every connector (3 of them) and found a bad contact. After
recalibrating everything works.

Bottom line: The calibration routine does not check for "out of scale" or
"non consistent values" just takes what the ADC reads. This mean even if
calibration is done does not mean that is correctly calibrated.
