Schematic howto

Jagan
Hi,

I have some misunderstanding while understanding schematics,
can any one please help me out.

From mini2440_schematic_20100127.pdf
*) What is cpu1.sch, cpu2.sch and cpu3.sch schematics.. i assume that
cpu1.sch is a main cpu core having timer, clocks etc and remaining cpu2.sch
and cpu3.sch are comes under soc (S3C2440)..am I correct..please correct me
if am wrong...
*)why 04-MEM.sch, 07-DM9000.sch, 05-UART_USB_POWER.sch, 08-INTERFACE.sch,
06-Audio.sch are separated any internal connection logic here..please let
   me know

1) That is my understanding.
2) Those connections are printed circuit board connections, between the
various ICs.

Yes. You are correct. It is what is known as a multiple hierarchy design in
the electronics world. All the connections are interconnected via the NET
NAMES. These are the names on the schematic lines that you can see.

Because the processor is so large, it is broken down into "parts" to make
it easier to work with.

Even for small designs I tend to break it up into a multiple hierarchy
layout simply to make it easier to read. For instance, I put power supplies
on one sheet, connectors on another and processor on another. It also means
you can print out the design on A4 or A3 instead of an expensive large
format printer. :)
