Hi guys, recently I observed a very strange behaviour of the X35 screens on few on my minis. Sometimes on power up the screen is not working. The backlight is on, but there is no Tux on the screen and nothing happens. Soft reboot does not help, sometimes I have to turn the board off and on again with the power switch, and sometimes that helps. Switching LCDs changes nothing. Any advice? Cheers!
Monitor boot messages to see if it stalls somewhere? What about logging your boot message to an SD card and when it fails look at the log on another machine. Does syslog provide any help here?
try checking that the cables for the lcd are seated correctly and that the one going into the board has 'clicked'.
I have secured the LCD FFC at both ends (on the screen and board) with insulation tape and unfortunately it is still switching off and on randomly - on every mini2440.
