Capacitive touch in WinCE

aleticia
Hi, I have TinySDK2 board and I´ve bought a 4.3" capacitive touch. I´d like
to know what could I do to make it work in WinCE. Actually, my doubt is
about driver. Is it native into the last WinCE image?

NothinRandom
Hi aleticia,

Do you mind telling me where you got the cap. touchscreen from? I'm
interested in getting one myself.

Thanks!

Ilian Tsachev
I also bought some capacitive TS for 7 inch but still don't find driver for
WinCE. It is I2C with the popular FT5x06 TS controller by Focal TEch.
Someone have ideas ?
If someone supply working driver I can send TSP.

Hi,

which version of WinCE you are using? And with which platform you have
interface the touch screen? Dose your platform support the interface of the
touch screen?

NothinRandom
It doesn't work properly with wince6. It's very frustrating because, it's
such a nice display...just the touch part doesn't work properly

Ferite
Hi.

There have been any advance in this matter?.

Thanks.

NothinRandom
@Ferite,

I've been bugging them for quite a while now, but not a single peep. I
guess it's time to move onto another platform.

Ferite
Yes. Is sad that FriendlyARM doesn't make the appropriate driver available.
This can discourage many possible customers.

By the way NothinRandom, doyo know if at least the resistive touch works?.

NothinRandom
Ferite,

The resistive screen works fine.

Reggie
try asking on www.arm9home.net that's friendlyarms home forum, if you use
chrome as a browser it will auto translate for you.

Ferite
NothinRandom, thanks for the clarify.

Reggie, do you refer to the february update?.

2013-02-04 update:
================
 Windows CE update:
- The WinCE increased 4.3-inch capacitive screen support; <---------------
- Fixed USB HUB drive system of suspended animation bug;

Ferite
Any update on this? :(

Ilian Tsachev
I have a driver for ZET6221 for Linux but never tested. I can send to
someone ...

Ferite
Hi Ilian Tsachev. Thanks for your offer. But we are in this thread behind
drivers for Windows CE.

Ferite
Thanks Nictw and ARMbest. Do you know if the BSP has the option for the
4.3" capacitive too?.

Thanks.

ARMbest
Yes, the BSP can support the 4.3" capacitive too

Ferite
Hi ARMbest:

I was testing your link. Although the links to the 7 parts of the DVD are
alive, the download is slow and always is aborted before it ends. Do you
have another mirror for it?.

Thanks for your help, and best regards.

sana
hy, i have just installed wince 6.0 into x210 waveshare board,i have many
problems with it right now

its in chinese how to change its language?
its only working with a mouse, not even resistive touch is working?
i want to use gps with it how to interface it or if you can provide me with
any guidance?

Nictw
Yes,

I know that it is listed in english in that site! (armbest.com), but the
downloads are hosted at Baidu in Chinese! and it is practically impossible
to download without errors!!.

Also some other links point to nonexistent files!!

Why are those updates not included in FriendlyArm FTP ??

>>Why are those updates not included in FriendlyArm FTP ??

Sadly there is a lack of support from FA. Despite FA can't provide a
personalized support, I don't know why they do not provide at least the
updates that are available and the change history for them. It is essential
for preventing their customers go to purchase the productos from a
competitor.

A FA engineer checking this forum daily and answering at least the more
generalized issues would be very helpful too.
