Burn superboot on Linux ?

mickael9
Hi,

Is there a way to burn superboot on Linux, without using SD Flasher ?

Thanks.

Someone has posted that dd if=Superboot210.bin of=/dev/sdcard seek=1 is the
thing you want, the seek steps past the partition table.

Having said this my 210 only gets to print "Board type: 2", then hangs.
Though without all this it just screams at me with the beeper thing, so
something meaningful is happening, just not sure if this is all that needs
to be written.

Painfully retarded to have such an important thing as SD-Flasher closed
source, there is nothing in it aside from crap coding that should warrant
this. If I could get my builds to work on the i.mx this would be a solid
reason to dump the 210, just making my life hard for no reason.

I found this quite interesting thread :

Unfortunately, even after formatting my SD card with the official SD
Flasher tool (on Windows), I don't see any LED flashing nor hear any beep
:(

Is it possible that the SDCard is not compatible? (

I have no RS232 cable to check the boot log.

By the way, I have android installed in the NOR, and the SD card is
recognized so that's definitely not the S3C6410's fault.

Alright, I was using an old image.

I downloaded the latest superboot from the ftp and it works.
