Mini2440 - Corrupted characters serial port

Hello,

I'm trying to get a serial console from Mini2440, but I'm getting a lot of
corrupted characters, attached follows a screenshot of terminal (I'm using
PuTTY)

I tried the following, to fix this issue:
1) Changed character set (UTF-8, ISO-8859-1, etc...)
2) Changed serial port baud rate (1200 ~ 115200bps)
3) Replaced serial cable

I'm suspecting there is some error in board clock, (frequency isn't
correctly divided, or is out of tolerance)

Could you, please, help me?

Thanks in advanced,
Elton

Hello Nemka,

Thanks for replying.

I replaced my USB to serial converter and it's worked fine. The first
converter, one CH340 works fine up to 57600bps, but fails at higher speeds.
My new converter, one Prolific did the job.

Elton

Hi Elton,

I want to know how to change character set (UTF-8) on Mini2440. Also is it
possible to set character set to UTF-16? Please let me know
