mini6410 hangs on bootloader

I have been using mini6410 board but when i port the new kernel 
linux2.6.36 and android 2.2-fs , i get the following error

Please check your kernel config and/or bootloader.

I remember the problem was there in the previous source , but thought this
will be fixed in the new one , to my astonishment no .

When you build the kernel, have you selected the correct configuration
file?

What about trying the kernel that is pre-built on the DVD that came with
it?
