Hi guys. I recently bought an Tiny6410 and it came with Linux installed. Some days ago when I started the board, there was no OS (strange..). So, I'm trying to follow the startup guide to install Android or any other OS. I tried several times, reviewd the process several times before posting here, but it's simply not working.. I followed the procedure to fuse the sd-card (tried with 2 sd'cards, both 1gb formatted with FAT32) with sd-flasher. Created the structure: SD:\Images\superboot-20110727.bin SD:\Images\FriendlyARM.ini SD:\Images\Android Tried to use both options in FriendlyARM.ini: run/install; The board doesn't beep and when I tried to analyze the log with DNW, I got nothing... Please, help me... I'm 99.99999% sure that I did all the possible variations of doing the process through the SD Card Correctly. If there is another option to install the system on Tiny6410 or any suggestion...
[Tiny6410] It doesn't start anyway
Did you try Installing via USB...?? Me too facing the same problem I got the board today itself first start was awesome later than trying to restart the screen response was like someone removing the cable when screen is on...I was scared but later on confirmed it is firmware problem tried to boot from SD 10 times but neither i can hear buzzer nor any stuff
I suggest to download the lastest DVD images. There is the better software: superboot, android and others. Regards Mindee
Hi guys. This last weekend I finally solved everything. The solution was something really near to what you said. I downloaded the last superboot version for 6410 from the ftp. So it recognized my SD card and the superboot menu appeared through SD. I was able to boot from SD, but not to install on NAND. Apparently, there was no boot manager on the board. I removed the FriendlyARM.ini in SD:\Images\ and then I could browse the menu through the serial debug booting from SD. Then I was able to install everything through USB. Just and advice: Android\u-boot_nand-ram256.bin was corrupted on the CD I received with the kit. So I really recommend to download the last software version through the ftp server. By now, I'm with android booting from NAND and working 100%. Thank you guys for the answers. Hope this tips help more users with the same problem.
