Hello, i bought a mini2440 with a 3.5' LCD from FriendlyARM. I've tried to setup the working environment to compile programs to run on Qtopia in Mini2440. As any one already been successful in doing this? Please tell us if you were able to do this, it is very important to many of us. I've been recommended to use fedora, but not even in fedora 9 I was able to setup the environment. It keeps on giving me compiling errors. It would be nice to have a detailed manual on how to setup this environment on a freshly installed system. If possible install it in a virtual machine so anyone can share the image with the rest of the community. I would also like to sugest that if anyone was able to port a working recent Qtopia version to this board, to post the detailed instructions, and the instructions to setup the working environment. I really like open source software, but one loses faith when, even by following instructions, can't achieve any results. I believe many of you would agree with me on this. Best regards
Qtopia Environment (x86 and ARM)
Hi LDS. I'm using Qtopia 2.2.0 than comes pre-installed on mini2440 succesfully. At first had a lot of problems because I tried to use fedora Live CD that must be updated to be able to install all component necessary to run qtopia in arm and x86, but finally found a fedora9 from arm9.net web site, that I don't remind at this moment, at since that worked fine. Now I have other problems but not related to compiling qt software. I can get a working image with all components installed and share it but is 10GBytes weight......... and I have fedora9 DVD to make your own image, but is over 3GBytes.........
Dear would you be so kind to upload the URL link? the site is in Chinese and really difficult to follow. Thanks
Hello, you can share it using for example http://www.transferbigfiles.com/ if your bandwidth allows it. If you had the instructions on to setup that virtual machine it would be really helpful. Thank you for your reply, LDS
