Connector specs - mini6410 GPIO, SDIO, UART, EINT

Jeff T
Hi,

Does anyone have the full specs for the IO connectors on the mini6410,
please? I can't identify from the pictures what they are and I'd like to
have connectors ready when my board arrives.

The connectors I need to identify the 'other half' for are:
- GPIO (30 pin, allegedly the rare 2.0mm IDC rather than common 2.54mm - is
this correct?) & SDIO (20 pin, same deal)
- UARTs (4-pin & 6-pin, what is the connector type/manufacturer?)
- EINT / buttons (10-pin, what is the type / manufacturer? Manual says
2.0mm but it looks more like 1.0 or 1.27mm from the pics).

Thanks!

Jeff

Hi Jeff.

All 2mm except the 1mm 10 pin interrupt/push button connector and the 4 pin
power connector at 0.1 inch. ARMWorks has a full kit with cables and mating
connectors for your end of things. The kits are made in China in huge
batches, which has been the only way to get 1mm/2mm stuff without breaking
the bank. (The power cable was recently added. It took a while to find the
right connector).

Thanks Charles... presume you mean this:

With a bit of help from the people I'm buying the 6410 from, I found the
4/6-way connectors at Digi-Key - they're called "PH Connector" by JST and
they're pretty cheap for the most part. Digi-Key have the IDCs too. The
10-way is less easy to find.

The ARMWorks kit is definitely cheaper in total (USPS shipping to me in the
UK looks like a teeny USD3.84), and much easier. Thanks for that tip :-)

Those 2mm IDCs are a bit of a pain, saving that tiny bit of space on the
board makes the connectors ten times harder to get and about five times the
price of the common 2.54mm pitch versions! Ah, well, maybe Fr.ARM will
rethink that design decision on future boards...
