I tested the thay eval win ce 6 image and all worked fine, what happens after the expiration of 180 days? Can I continue to use it ? I tested many copyes of winc6 fimages but the thay I/O samples not work with it I get a error "drive fail error" I need a win ce6 with web server and I/O ,where I can download it ? Regards
The 180 days evaluation period is only for Platfrom Builder, not for the images generated. But you can't buy a Microsoft licence for an image generated with a eval Platform Builder -> you can't sell a product with such an image. If you need a specific Windows CE image, why don't you do it by yourself ? domodom
Hi DomDom Thank you for your reply . Now I understood that the image continue to work after the expired period. We use the board only for short demonstrations after, power is turned off and unused for several months, so I wanted to know if it continued to work. I try to make a image by myself but is more difficult use paltform builder there are many file to include and when i build I get some errors file not found. Moreover, no one has explained in detail how to use platform builder and how to enter the display driver. Manuel
Yes, the eval image can work 24h/24h during several years, as far as i know, the only difference between an image built with an eval platform builder and an image built with a registered platform builder is the text displayed in the wallpaper. If you follow the tuturials on my website, you should be able to build your own image. It's a bit long, but it's interesting, and after that, you will be independent and able to add exactly what you need in your image.* If i was sure that it is legal, i would offer some images for download on my website, but i'm not sure and i don't want to have problem with Microsoft by offering something free. domodom
