Enclosure/casing for 7" screen

Arthur Pemberton
I am looking into using the Mini2440 for a project but the range of
available cases/enclosures seems to be very limited. What do people
normally mount their LCDs and boards onto? Does anyone know of casing that
I can simply purchase that would fit the 7" screen?

Hi Arthur, how about creating your own? You can use an off the shelf box
and make your own front panel.

I am working on a front panel for the 7" LCD using 3D CAD to create the
initial design and then using the software from www.schaeffer-ag.de to
create a nice anodised metal panel. I have done a load of projects this way
and you get a professional finished panel. If you get them to fit the studs
or bushes on the rear, you can have a front panel without any screws
holding the PCB.

Email me and I can send you a couple of sample drawings to give you an idea
on how to do this.
