bootlogo missing

Hi everybody,

A simple question, does the bootlogo should appear when kernel is booting
(before rootfs boot) ? 

I am installing linux but I want to make sure that the LCD works before to
do more.

I found : The type of my LCD is VGA1024*768 (and not 35) so just put
mini2440=2tb and TUX appears ...
