Hi, I wanna build a custom rootfs without Qtopia and KDE directories on /opt. In fact, my rootfs will be the same as "root_qtopia-128M.img", but without Qtopia and KDE files (I don't need a graphical interface). Anyone knows how to build a custom rootfs? Is there a "how-to" anywhere? Thanks in advance.
build custom rootfs
I found the mkyaffs2image-128 on download section. It seems quite simple to use. I'll test it, but seems to easy to build a custom rootfs. I'll post my results later.
To get the root_qtopia folder I used unyaffs2, but now I'm getting the error: eduardo@eduardo-desktop:/home/project/$ sudo unyaffs2 myimg.img temprootfs unyaffs2-0.1.9: image extracting tool for YAFFS2 image size is NOT a mutiple of 2048 + 64 Anyone knows how to extract the folder from image?
I was able to build my own rootfs using mkyaffs2image-128, but I'm getting the error: load Image of Linux...Uncompressing Linux... bad gzip magic numbers -- System halted Anyone got this error before?? Thanks in advance
PS: Using the board on "NOR" position, chosing option [b] boot on supervivi console the system works fine. When I tried to run directly from "NAND" I got that message.
The best one I've found I the one from Angtrom: http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/ use the autobuiler choose the mini2440 and voila. Zogzog.
Hi, I download the last version of supervivi-128M from download page and now it works fine. Thanks for your response zogzog, I'll try this autobuilder.
