h-jtag big problem

hello friends,

i m in trouble in my mini2440.

first i have not any printer port to programme the nor flash so i bought
the usb to parallel port and conected to it hjtag cable but unable to found
any target when i have tested the port in port setting yhe message
was"selected port dosn't work".
   i think thal i m entering the wrong port address.

second,last time i have connected the port in my friends computer and
loaded the simple led flashin programme made by me.

but next time when i wanted to load supervivi in nor flash the message is
coming that"can't load the driver"

please any one tell me what should i do.

A normal USB to LPT converter doesnt work with the parallel JTAG adapter.

I am using windows vista Operating system and Target board(EM 2440), while
i am installing H-JTAG hard ware driver installation i faced problem in
final stage.
Is vista supported for H JTAG driver? please help me how to resolve that
problem. i will waiting for your reply..bye

h-jtag big problem: Why are you reloading NOR? What happened to your
Supervivi in NOR? Why would you ever erase it or replace it? It is your
lifeline. For a start, I would RTFM.

Shankar, I keep one old PC with a parallel port and XP just in case I brick
a Mini or there is an update (it also has my old Protel99SE seat with a
license, which is very popular in China and I can open all the schematic
and layout I find on the web). I have never made USB to // adapters work
with Wiggler style J-TAG.

Just a small note: you do not need an old PC with a parallel port.  All you
need is a PCI or PCIe parallel port adapter and 32-bit winxp (dual-boot if
you need).  PCI parallel port adapters are stupidly cheap:

That one is confirmed to work with the JTAG adapter for the mini2440, and
even has 2 serial ports.
