Hello, I am new to this so please bear with me. I have a Mini2440 with a 3.5" touchscreen LCD panel. I would like to replace it with a Innolux AT070TN83 7" Touchscreen panel. How do I do this? I noticed that the 3.5" LCD has 1 flat cable but the Innolux has 2 flat cables. I am assuming that for Innolux, 1 is for the display and 1 is for the touch. Do I need any additional hardware? This Innolux 7" LCD is actually from another China MID that I no longer use. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Jimmy
Mini2440 3.5" LCD to Innolux
I have both LCD screen types on-hand. From what I can see is: One 7" screen. There is a flat cable connecting on-screen LCD3 thru to the cable cut-out connector below it. Plus another cable from marked connector "arm2" that connects to the mini2440 motherboard. So this is the "normal 7" screen" I use with the mini2440 (as supplied). My other 7" screen has two cables; One that connects to on-screen Connector Con3 which carries tsxm, tsym, tsxp, tsyp the touch screen co-ords) which is purely four wires. With other cable goes from the cut-out connector as above which is then connected to the LCD connection on the Micro2440SDK kit I have. So, ideally if you want to do 7" from 3" LCD you will need to do as screen #1 mentioned above. Hope this assists. Cheers.
The easiest would be to compare the circuit diagrams for the 3.5" and the 7" displays, available on the download page... Thanks, Errol
