root password of Ubuntu system

Hi 

We had download Ubuntu system into SDCARD 4G and make it working. Now we
went enter to /root  for install other capacitive touch driver. However we
don't know /root password, Would you please help ?

we have installed Ubuntu(linux-2.6.28.6-ubuntu),but we need to modify
/etc/init.d/rc in order to insmod some drivers .we need use root to modify
it without user,would you tell me that password of root?

rootpassword:

USer: root
Password: fa

User: Ubuntu
Password: fa

and there is also:
User: fa
Password: fa

Days ago I was looking for the same answer but I didn't found it, then I
change the kernel init param to omit login and get access root.
init=/sbin/sh

What is the name of the touch screen module? I need add suport to touch
screen in my Debian on Mini6410
