Kernel greater than 2 Mb

carlosC
Hello,
I have compiled a kernel with new config parameters and the zImage is
greater than 2 Mb.
I am ussing vivi as bootloader.

I have created a kernel partition of 3 Mb with the [p] option of vivi. But
when the system boots, it does not found /dev/mtdblock2 partition of
rootfs.

Does someone configure vivi with kernel partition greater than 2 Mb???

Thank in advance!

Florian
Hi,

I don't know much about Vivi, but its likely that you have to create the
rootfs partition again after extending the kernel partition. I guess Vivi
removed it because it would overlap with the kernel partition after
increasing its size.

Stephan,

Can you post the source version of the support package.. at least u-boot +
kernel.. I have been chatting with Florian on another thread about getting
a kernel I compiled to boot.. The binaries from this package work great for
me, but I can get any of the other kernel packages to boot.. they all hang
after uncompressing the kernel..

Thank you
