Hi, I tried to install mini6410 USB driver to a host computer (WinXP). The problem is, the host computer cannot detect the presence of the device. Below is the procedure I went through: - I have a working superboot-ed SD with images in the SD slot, with parameter heckOneButtons = Yes in the FriendlyARM.ini file. This supposed to make the board into download mode. - I connected the device mini-USB to one of the USB slot at host. - I turned the device (mini6410)on. Nothing happened at the host computer, as if the device is never existed. I also checked with the Device Manager at the host computer, no new USB deviced detected. However, host computer did detect the device when I booted the device into WinCE60. It just failed to do that when the device was in download mode. Any help is very welcome.
mini6410: USB undetected in download mode
maybe you tried to install the wrong driver. (the one for mini2440 instead of mini6410) as an alternative you can use my tool which should work with both. http://mini2440.netyxia.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2 :)
Mindee, I annotate my manual PDF file with your reply. Yes, the host computer immediately detected the device in download mode soon after I gave it the command, and the driver installed correctly.Thanks. Fabien, thanks for the tool. Cool, it comes with the source code. Did you write the tool in VS2008? I will give it a try later.
