kernel booting but unable to mount rootfs

rohit
Hi,

I am trying to boot from sdcard using u-boot. The kernel used is
linux-2.6.29-mini2440-20090708.tgz which came along the cd with my mini2440
board. I compiled and created a uImage.

Following tutorial at
http://mini2440.spaceopera.org/site/developmentenviroment/stepbystep/ind...
I am able to boot linux.
But I am unable to mount rootfs.

Following the tutorial sdcard is formatted properly as mentioned in
tutorial. This I am sure because after loading uImage and the File system
uploaded by the author of tutorial everything works fine and I was able to
get android up.

Then i thought of using the kernel and root_qtopia.tgz which came along
with the cd.

I want to mention here that I just extract root_qtopia.tgz into ext3
partition in the sdcard. I am doubtful at this stage. I think I am missing
something at this point. u-boot expects a jffs2 image.... May be I need to
do some more steps to create jffs2 from root_qtopia content.

Following is the error I get:
