installing debian/any other linux(not qtopia)

hi,
i have mini2440 T35 128MB flash and 64MB ram.

i want to use this for image processing, so i think i wanna install a
better OS.

i am trying to do so for 2-3 days, but failed. plz help me with detailed
steps to install linux.

i got the messages like:

kernel panic....

the block # is bad...

Hi Fiyas,
         Just do kernel compilation by setting ur configurations and just
port the kernel (zImage) to ur Nand flash using the Bios ( when mini2440 is
started in NOR position) and port the root-qtopia as it as then after
booting the system u just delete the Qtopia and Kde folders in /opt folder
