Hi all, I hope that some one can give me some advice. Currently a I have instaled the WCE6 BSP that I downloaded from the Domodom site when I start my working with the Mini2440. Since then, I have made some changes to the catalog and I have added a subproject . Now I want to change this BSP, to the Errol's improved one (Mainly because the Network crash fix). What Should I do to backup the chages I have done, before uninstall the old BSP, and then restore it after install the new BSP. Thanks in advance for your kindly help.
Switching between BSP's
You can back up your project, it's under OSDesigns, Mini2440. If you want to back up the BSP then back up Mini2440 under Platforms. You don't have to uninstall. I don't know if you can... If I remember correctly then I have created the install for my BSP so that you can choose not to install the example projects. Thus your project will not be over written, only the BSP. Please still back everything up... Thanks, Errol
Hello Ferite, I'm sorry, I wrote my articles before Errol's BSP publication and i don't have the courage to rewrite my article with this BSP (certainly the better available BSP for the mini2440). Ok, if I were you, i would do it like this : - back up the OSDesigns\mini2440 and Platform\mini2440 directories. Then remove them and re-install the BSP you first used - make a WinDiff or WinMerge of these 2 directories with the backed up ones. - at that point, you should be able to list your modifications. - then remove the mini2440 bsp and install the Errol's one. - transfert the modifications in the Errol's BSP Best regards domodom
Hi Errol And Domo: In order to make my test I installed from scratch VS2005 and platform builder (R3) on a recently restaured to factory WinXP computer. Then I installed Errol's BSP without sample projects. Pasted my Project in \OSDesigns, and then I open it and generated the Image. Besides having to make some changes that are not in the project, but in the BSP files, like screen rotation, backlight time, and the GPIO drivers, all seems to work fine. Thanks for your help, and best regards to all!.
