Do we have Mini2440 with 128MB or 256MB SDRAM

Hi All,

Do we have Mini2440 with 128MB or 256MB SDRAM. I tried google but could not
find any.

None !!!!!

you may have a mini2440 with 128 , 256 or 1gb of NAND , but is far as I
know you have always 64meg of ram.

Thanks Peter. I think I'm right that we will not be able to find mini2440
with RAM more than 64MB.

with 256 ram upgrade , but what they mean is a 256 flash NAND upgrade.

I believe the other comments are correct all units have 64M SDRAM and
2MByte Nor Flash (for BIOS).

If you look at the nand flash chip it can have one of the following
numbers:
K9F1208  > 64 MB NAND Flash

K9F1G08  > 128 MB NAND Flash

K9F2G08  > 256 MB NAND Flash

K9F8G08  > 1024 MB NAND Flash

Also a very good bit of info is from andahammers FAQ web page:
 "The 64Mbyte NAND Flash has a read/write block size of 512 Bytes and an
erase block of 16K. The 126, 256, 1024M parts have page read/write size of
2K and erase blocks of 128K. So, 128, 256, and 1024 (1G) are identical in
usage. The latest versions of u-boot test the environment and pass boot
parameters so Linux knows which memory it is using. In other situations,
like Windows CE6.0, images are generated specifically for the two memory
parameters. Only two images are needed: one for 64M, and one for all
others."

There were plans to make 128M RAM Mini2440's at one time. My understanding
is that the SDRAM chips that are needed were discontinued by all
manufacturers except Micron, and with a single source, it was decided to be
too risky. 

The next generation of Samsung chips like the S3C2416 and S3C6410 use DDR
and can easily have more RAM.

Thanks all for the info. What dev board you will suggest for Andorid other
than mini2440 and min6410. I really need to run Android at decent
performance for my Product.
