BOOTLOADER DOES NOT APPEAR

Hi,

   I've mini2440 with 256MB.

   Mini2440 is connected by both serial & usb ports.

   I've installed the USB download driver.

   When I run the DNW program, it shows serial port is connected

   COM2: 115200bps

   I've set up the NOR switch and open the mini2440,

   DNW shows, USB connection is ok. Serial connection is ok .

   However, there is nothing on the screen ?

   What can be the problem ?

I have the same problem when use my serial cable. When I use serial cable
which comes with mini2440 in package then I can successfully see output
from console.

Is your serial cable straight - not crossed?

Hi Andreas,

  Actually I'm using the orginal serial cables from box.The only difference
is actually, I'm using a usb-to-serial adaptor because my laptop do not
have any serial port..

  May be it is because of this..

Disconnect the cable from your mini2440 and make a short circuit between
pin2 and 3.All you type should appear on your screen (in hyperterminal or
putty).
