new root fs & toolchain available, new kernel soon

Hey,

I have just done compiling a new toolchain for the mini2440.

and an updated root filesystem with busybox 1.17.1 and updated libs

I will get the linux 2.6.34.6 kernel patched in a few days as well.

Fabien why not latest stable kernel 2.6.35.3? Is there any objection to use
2.6.34? I can participate if necessary.

root-eglibc.rar

   1   root-eglibc.rar: The file "root-eglibc.yaffs2" header is corrupt
   2   root-eglibc.rar: Unknown method in root-eglibc.yaffs2
   3   root-eglibc.rar: No files to extract

Haven't had this problem before.

Maybe something went wrong while uploading...

Kernel 2.6.35.* does not work on the mini, I have tried numerous build, no
luck... (kernel panic)

So I will stick with the 2.6.34 branch for now.

I have downloaded the archive on 2 machines and it works fine.

You should try to re-download it.

I'll have to do it tomorrow.  Is the Size 92,410,560 and Packed 23,075,646?
 

Should WinRAR be able to extract it?

It has been compressed with winrar on windows, so it should work fine.

I can't run the  arm-920t-linux-gnueabi-gcc in my Ubuntu 10.04.When I ran
it in my terminal it says :"can't execute the binary file" :-|

Worked the 2nd time.

Do you have a 64bits distro ?
If you have a 32bits distro it won't work.

I will try to compile a 32bits version today.

32 bits (i486) toolchain is now available :)
