hi

i want to run linux on the mini2440.

i want to monitor 20 dallas ds18b20 temperature sensors,
and use rrdtools to graph all of this.

i also want to run a webserver to watch the graphs from a remote computer,
and local on the device running a browser to display the temperature on the
display.

i want to run nagios on the device, to monitor all of this,
and sending alert mails.

i work normaly with gentoo, but everybody say it is to slow,
portage to huge, compiling take to long.
compiling is no problem, just have to compile in the beginning, later on no
new compilings.

searching the web, i also donīt found a lot about gentoo and mini2440.
prefer to get gentoo running, but when somebody say that is a waste of
time,
i would be glad, save me a lot of my spare time.

a view guys got debain running, and a lot says you must use emdebian.
donīt no debian that well, but i am willing to lurn it better.

what is the best shot for my goals, get nagios and graphic browser up and
running?

thanks in advance
Sam

:-(

ok, another question, not familiar with debian and less in endebain.

emdebian ist thinner/smaler than a normal debian i read out there.
what is better/simpler to use on mini2440 for my goals.

is there a limit in size for the sd card?

thanks
Sam

emdebian is the easier way to have a real distro.
I'm using it with SDCARD with 1Go size.
