Hi, I'm working with mini2440 and WinCE 6.0 R3. I tested Wifi module sold with this board (VIA VT6656), and it works well, but I would like to test other alternatives. Anyone knows any other Wifi module with drivers for ARM9 and WinCE? I'll be waiting any anwser, thank you! Leo
WiFi alternative module
Guy, there are some adapters that the USB Wifi Kits from FriendlyARM supports: http://www.friendlyarm.net/forum/topic/1479 the chipset Rt73 from RaLink is the most common... http://wiki.debian.org/WiFi/rt73 on end of page have the list of adapters that use RT73 chipset... :D
Please note that he needs WinCE compatible wifi modules... From what i gather drivers is a problem for wifi modules... Thanks, Errol
Hi, I have found some USB Wifi modules that should work in Mini2440 on Windows CE 6.0: - XN-750, US$25, www.zcomax.com/indoor/XN-750/ZX-XN-750-DS.pdf - EW-EWUR524, US$44, http://www.embeddedworks.net/pdetail.php?mn=wlan&mid=mwlan5102&p... In my job, we're going to test these 2 modules. There are other 2 modules very interesting: - SX-SDWAG, http://www.silexamerica.com/products/wireless_modules/sx-sdwag.html - SX-SDCAG, http://www.silexeurope.com/en/home/products/wireless-modules/sx-sdcag.html May be these two modules are the same, I'm not sure. There are not USB, are SDIO (SD memory format). I haven't received any reply to my emails from vendor (Silex), so I don't know nothing about prices or any confirmation about ARM support, but I think it's possible (just looking website information). I hope this helps somebody, when I test any of this modules, I'll tell you what happen. If anybody can do it, please let us know, and if anybody can contact Silex in order to get information about this modules, I'll appreciate it (I'm too far... Chile). Thank you! Leo
