TCP/IP over ActiveSync

Hi,

I am new developing WinCE/Compact Framework applications and I would like
to know if it is posible to connect a Client/Server program taking advance
of USB ActiveSync connection.

Right now, I have developed a client(PC) / server(Mini2440) system where
the application running in Mini2440 listens for incoming TCP conections.
The applications works fine when i tested them over an actuall Ethernet
network.

I found that when an ActiveSync connection is made, this connection is take
by Windows CE as an IP one (Under properties of "USB CABLE" you will see
192.168.55.101 as the address). Unfortunately I can't ping this address
from the PC neither establish a TCP connection. By googling I found that
the capabilities to use ActiveSync as an actuall network connection depends
whether Remote NDIS is enabled in the device. I search for this feature in
the BSP catalog, but NDIS is unchecked, so I checked it and tryed to make a
Clean Sysgen, but the compilation is not successful.

Thanks for your answer. Finally I could build the image by disabling the
Antivirus. The feature that I enabled is shown in the attachment file, but
it didn't make any difference. I can't ping the device's ActiveSync IP
address, neither a virtual network adapter is shown under "Netwok
Connections" in the PC.

Sadly I had to leave my tests, becouse they took many time and I didn't get
any advance.

As reference here is the link to a thread I opened in MSDN Forums in that
regard. I tried all the tweaks I was told, but didn´t get any concrete
result.

Hi Fernando, I,m not an expert in developing Wince aplications,in fact I
never have worked with it. I,m developing my aplication in Labview,it is a
graphical language. I have the mini2440 with an .nb0 image for 4,3" from
developmentboard.net loaded in ram. I connect the ethernet cable but only
the link led is on, the activity one is always off, and I can´t find how to
configure the ethernet in the mini2440, could you please help me?,maybe I
need to develop an aplication for Wince?.
