LEDs in the RJ45 ethernet connector

Renato
I just got a MINI2440 and I can navigate the web with Konqueror but only
the NETACT green LED lights. The NETLINK yellow LED remains off all the
time. According to the schematic both LEDs are connected and should light,
right? Does anyone have the same problem?

Renato
Yep, the yellow LED is definitely bad. One day since I got the board from
ESKY-SH and below are the problems I found so far:
- jammed ON/OFF switch (I have to turn the board ON/OFF by
inserting/removing the adaptor plug)
- non functional yellow LED in the RJ45 connector
- SDRAM chips with suspect strikethroughs over their texts
Who knows what else...

Errol
Hi Renato,

Are you using a 10Mb ethernet network? The Link led only lights on a 100Mb
network...

We all(?) have the strikethroughs over the ram.

The switch is a problem though...

Thanks,
Errol

Renato
Hello Errol,

Yes, I am using a 100Mbps ethernet. In fact I know the yellow LED is dead
because when I connect a spare one in parallel it lights up just fine.
Thanks for your feedback.

Best Regards,

Renato
