camtest.cpp compilation

Has anyone been able to successfully compile the camtest.cpp? I keep
running into errors.

Furthermore, if anyone has gotten it to work... have you had any success in
interfacing with USB cameras?

Has anyone been able to interface with USB cameras using other
drivers/methods?  We're working on a project to hopefully stitch together
multiple images using the camera module as well as 1 or more USB cameras. 
Any ideas?
